Hey there! Thanks for stopping by! It really means a lot to me, even if I've never met you! I hope you enjoy my work. Here are some new pieces. I'll admit there's some pain here right now, but I suppose that's to be expected after a break-up. More so, after a four-year relationship. But I digress, now... The work!

I've heard this term for many years, but until now I've just brushed it off as a silly idea that bigots and sensationalists use in the mass media. Recently, however, I've been really interested in the idea of a shadow organization of homosexuals who try to take over the world, So after some initial research, I decided to put down two working ideas. More to follow.

Hey everyone! I'm so glad for all of the wonderful responses from the last post (via Facebook)! Here is a new piece created with some vintage (late 1800's - early 1900's) male physique studies. I hope you enjoy this! I will be creating some more collage-style images over the coming weeks.

The Writing's on the wall

Hey everyone,

Today my relationship of over four years came to an end. It is supremely odd to me that a relationship can end for reasons other than love fading. I always thought that was the only real reason that a relationship didn't work... that one or both of the people involved loved each other less, or stopped loving the other completely, or started to love someone else.... It never occurred to me that love could have nothing to do with it. Sometimes, it seems, people just need to be on their own, to work on themselves, before a relationship, any relationship can be successful. It makes some sense now, but what a shocker at first. I guess the good thing is that this time I didn't feel the usual need to scream, or throw furniture, or kill them, or myself. So, chalk that one up to growing up? Anywho... Here is a piece that I just finished. It's been swimming around in my mind for quite a while, but it finally just worked itself out. For those of you who do not know (as I did not, before doing research for this piece) "Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin" is the inscription that King Belshazzar saw a disembodied hand write on the wall in the book of David (from the Bible.) The common meaning is a combination of "the future is written (predetermined)" and " the end is near." How fitting, then that the piece would be finished now, at the same time that my relationship has come to an end. Well, I hope you enjoy.

Each image is intended to evoke a call to action using what we were all given at birth, all the tools that we will ever need, if only we choose to use them! I hope you enjoy!

It's been a year... and here's a new saint!

Well, my oh my! It's been a year since I posted?! Well, here's something new. I was very moved by the news that Pope John Paul II was canonized as a saint just yesterday. So, since I've gotten sober in the last year +, I've really made an effort to express my newly-discovered emotions through my work, both photographic and in writing. Below you will find my Lichtenstein-inspired design for the new saint. John Paul was really an incredible guy. Anyone who knows me well knows that I have never claimed to be a Christian, as my personal views are too broad to fit within the confines of any one specific denomination. But If I was to be a christian, I think I'd be Catholic... They've got a ton of really cool rituals, practices, and of course saints! (BTW, this is not a plug for the catholic church, like at all!... If you steam my shit, I'll find you and wear your skin for my next Halloween costume!) So, I hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave comments.
